How To Discuss Genetic Disease With Your Loved Ones, A Toolkit

0

Global Genes is one of the leading advocacy groups for rare and genetic diseases in the world. The Global Genes team devotes tremendous efforts into raising awareness and creating change for the millions of children and adults living with rare disease.

Earlier this year, Global Genes hosted a RARE Webinar, How to Discuss Genetic Disease With Your Loved Ones. One of our own genetic counselors, Jenna Miller, was excited to be one of the panelists for the webcast. This webinar reviews the basics of genetic disease and explores how and when individuals can discuss details of their disease with others. If you missed the webinar you can replay it here.

A RARE Toolkit follows the webcast to expand on the topics discussed. Check out the toolkit to learn about the role of genetic counselors, how genetic disease is diagnosed, and read some inspiring patient stories.

Visit the Global Genes site to learn more about resources and events for the rare disease community.
